The name of this project is ‘Empowerment for Employment’, and its aim is to deliver a range of creative and accessible activities targeted at communities living in the most disadvantaged areas of Derby to support individual skills development and employability to enable them to progress in life and work.Â
We will focus on employment focused workshops and activities where participants will gain basic skills for life, which will help them with employability in the UK. We plan on delivering a range of courses from English language, Maths, ICT beginners, Driving Theory and our much-loved Community Interpreting Course. All of our courses will help the participants to be ready for employment in the UK alongside job search, CV writing, online applications and interview confidence building activities to support them to access volunteering opportunities to gain experience and secure a paid job.Â
